I recently worked with Robin Johnson and her team at RE/MAX Commonwealth on the sale of our home and had, truly, an outstanding experience. Robin is an exceptional Realtor, a consummate professional and an extremely nice person in general and to work with. She, and her team, effectively marketed and promoted our home that we previously had difficulty selling through 2 different brokers over the prior 2 years and Robin sold it in less than 1 month and achieved a higher sales price than even our prior listing amounts! I strongly recommend Robin and her team and am confident that if you work with her, you will be very satisfied with both the entire sales/marketing process and the results.We had a beautiful home on 10 acres about 15 minutes west on 64 from the heart of Short Pump. While our home was beautiful it never seemed to be effectively marketed by our prior agents. They just stuck a sign in the ground and placed it in MLS but they never really marketed our home. Robin’s marketing brought out its beauty through her words and pictures. She made the joys of living there real for folks reviewing our home and property. She addressed, up front, any perceived “negatives” head on before they were even raised by exploring the alternatives (some said it was too big and had too many large living-space rooms so Robin introduced alternatives involving very simple conversion(s) of perceived excess large room(s) into an in-law suite, 1st floor primary suite, media room, home schooling room, etc.) through her use of common sense. That’s one of Robin’s greatest strengths. Using her extensive experience to problem solve upfront, making former “issues” become opportunities for potential homeowners, was one of the areas where Robin really separated herself from the typical real estate agent. The other real estate agents faced perceived “obstacles” through pushing for unnecessary price cuts which we found, frankly, lazy, uninspired and unprofessional. It plainly showed that they really didn’t want to be bothered with active representation.What we also appreciated was Robin directly reaching out to many local area and select Charlottesville and NVA agents directly so she could introduce our home personally. Today’s world seems overly dependent on marketing blasts via emails which often are barely reviewed and typically ignored. Robin and her team added a personal touch by calling many of the agents to discuss our property and to make sure the agents were acutely aware of the opportunity for their clients. Robin and her team’s efforts made it clear that they were truly representing us and trying their best to meet our objectives and not just trying to achieve a closing irrespective of final sales price.Robin and her team also made negotiating the offer, entering into a contract and the entire due diligence process through closing relatively painless and virtually stress free. Important to mention in Robin’s review that after our house did not sell for a second time with our earlier agents, Robin reached out via email but also called us. Though many other agents sent flyers stating that they could produce great results (they all say that and never say how), Robin actually took the time to tell us in reasonable detail what she would do and how she would improve our marketing and its reach and also focused on firmly understanding and differentiating between comparable properties in order to present an aggressive price but still attractive value to potential Buyers. She was not hesitant to invest her time to prove herself to us. I think she remained in contact with us for over 8 months until we were ready to meet with her. Are we glad we did!I wholeheartedly endorse Robin and her team and strongly encourage potential Sellers to speak with her. We all hear about what a significant investment decision it is when purchasing a home. Perhaps an even more important decision is finding a proactive real estate agent who is highly experienced, creative, client focused and who does what she/he says they’ll do when selling your home. Maximizing value and creating certainty don’t just happen. Working with Robin and her team was clearly an excellent investment decision for us. Thank you, Robin and Attie, for a job well done!

It doesn’t do Robin enough justice to say she goes above and beyond. From the beginning she listened to what I could do, what I was aiming for, and never once did I struggle with this process. I had moved two states away and Robin took care of my house like it was hers. There was a major freeze and she stopped by the house to make sure the faucets were dripping. She vacuumed after people toured the house to make sure it was kept fresh. I can’t recommend her enough.
